Mission

iGlow Mentoring seeks to effect change in young women by renewing minds, restoring values, and Inspiring Girls to Lead Our World.

Founder

Visionary. Passionate. Relentless. These are just a few words that describe Delores Balogun. A native of Chicago, Delores attended Chicago public schools and earned a Bachelor’s degree in event marketing at Illinois State University in 2008. She worked for the National PTA for several years.

A humanitarian at heart, Delores is passionate about empowering the next generation of young women through mentorship so that they may radically impact their local and global communities.

As a teenager, Delores often felt insignificant and sought validation from others. She is inspired by her own struggles with depression and low self esteem.  But because of various mentoring relationships, Delores was able to triumph over her personal insecurities.

Delores’ personal renewal and commitment to purity serves as the springboard for iGlow Mentoring, an organization committed to fostering mentoring relationships with young girls in the Chicago area and enriching their lives both academically and socially. This once insecure girl with no desire to live now imparts confidence and healing to the lives of other young girls.
